Needle Steering Research Abstract

By re-imagining needle design, we seek to develop highly dexterous needles that let a surgeon precisely control needle tip location within the body. This new class of needles necessitates novel control and path planning algorithms. To meet these needs, we have assembled an academic research team that spans five labs, three institutions, and two countries. Our team is bolstered by clinical collaborators who ensure a strong clinical basis for our work.
